Second Generation Help - Software update, android automobile and service warning issues

I have several issues I could use assistance with. Started with me trying to go android auto installed but let me go thru one at a time:

1) Software update - when I go in the settings there is button that says update and when I click on information technology I get a message that states "Please cheque the update retention and endeavour again"

Anybody run into this and know what it means?? Is there a SW update avaliable for me?

ii) Android auto - according to the directions I am supposed to take my SD card out of the automobile an put it in my computer and I am and so supposed to become a bunch of prompts to download the android auto software. Well I do it and nothing happens - no prompts show up.

And so I trried to download software off the bluelink site but whenever I click on that it asks me to insert a USB drive... Information technology makes no sense so I am not sure how the heck to get the android software on my car...

not sure if the two issues are related that is why I mention both....

three) Last but not least I downloaded the app for "warning service" a while dorsum simply it hs never worked. It is on the auto merely I tin can't plow any of the features on. Everyone know if this issupposed to work and how to go it to work?

Jason - if yous have the 8" touch screen it can be updated. If you have the 9" DIS organisation with the Wheel for input information technology cannot be updated.

If you have the 8"$ arrangement, go to

hyundaiusa.com/myhyundai/
you will see a login at the tiptop. Login, (create user id if y'all have non done so) and look for a software update notification. IIRC it's at the summit right.

Use your stock SD card - Non the USB despite the messaging.
Once you have the software downloaded, you have to respond to copy the software to your sd card. There are consummate instructions in the software update section. There are more details here in the forum if you lot search the threads here.

Jason - if you lot have the 8" touch screen it can be updated. If you have the ix" DIS organisation with the Bike for input it cannot be updated.

If you have the 8"$ system, go to

hyundaiusa.com/myhyundai/
yous will run into a login at the pinnacle. Login, (create user id if y'all have not done then) and await for a software update notification. IIRC information technology's at the tiptop correct.

Use your stock SD bill of fare - Not the USB despite the messaging.
In one case you accept the software downloaded, yous have to respond to copy the software to your sd card. There are complete instructions in the software update section. There are more than details hither in the forum if you search the threads here.

Tried all that. I just go an error that no usb drive is bachelor and the sd carte du jour does not bulldoze whatever prompts. Tried to do this on my laptop and my desktop and i become the same problems.

Any other suggestions

I have the signature package on a 2015. I have the 8" touchscreen I beleive with that package.

I take an SD slot on all my coumputers. The only directions I saw online at the bluelink hyundai site was to take the SD carte out of the automobile and plug information technology into the estimator and it should prompt you to get the new software... That did non work.

Then I saw there was a download y'all could become from the site so I downloaded that and information technology basically saves an .exe file. When I go to run that file it tells me the following - fifty-fifty if I take the SD card inserted...

Short story is I accept read the directions and tried both methods with no luck. SD card does naught and the download will not actually download as the .exe file seems to e'er be looking for a USB drive????

Also without doign the android update my car has the update push button every bit being click-able when I get into the settings. But equally I stated in the first post when I click upgrade there it tells me to "check the update retentivity and attempt once more" and I accept no thought what that means....

I'one thousand having a similar issue on a 2016 Genesis with the signature package. I'm able to utilize the Hyundai Update Tool to get the update downloaded and transferred to the SD card just fine, just when I go to actually practise the update in the car, I go that "check the update retention and endeavor again" message. No idea what I could be doing wrong.

I accept the signature packet on a 2015. I have the 8" touchscreen I beleive with that bundle.

Try accessing the SD drive on your PC earlier running the update from online. It looks like your PC or the Hyundai program in the web browser is not detecting the SD carte.

Y'all may also need to try a unlike browser. Chrome, Firefox IE, Border, etc..

I'm having a like upshot on a 2016 Genesis with the signature package. I'm able to use the Hyundai Update Tool to get the update downloaded and transferred to the SD menu but fine, simply when I get to actually do the update in the car, I get that "check the update retention and try once more" message. No thought what I could exist doing incorrect.

Are you lot using the orignal SD carte from your machine? You must do that.

Got it working. For some reason, when I was using the built-in SD bill of fare reader of my laptop, the file extensions of the update files were getting changed, thus the head unit of measurement couldn't recognize them. I bought a USB SD card reader and the update worked perfectly. Odd.

And so Istill accept the same issue. I can non actually get the software to load onto my computer. I get the starting time file to download merely this file seems like it is just an .exe file that is supposed to exist what goes out and downloads the real data..

Every time I click it I get the the same error message that it looks like my USB drive is missing....

It makes no sense to me. Anybody else have any other ideas - I really want android auto in my auto...

Try accessing the SD drive on your PC before running the update from online. It looks similar your PC or the Hyundai program in the spider web browser is not detecting the SD card.

You may also need to try a different browser. Chrome, Firefox IE, Border, etc..

Tried firefox and explorer - similar I said I tin can get the .exe file merely when I run it I go the bulletin and it does not work.

Yes, using the SD card from the dash and followed that video.

I take tried all of that.

My outcome is that the software will not even download from the website to my reckoner....

Well I purchased a pocket-sized USB SD card reader and certain enough it worked. I accept no thought why my congenital in SD reader would non work with the software update but information technology did non. I used the USB reader and everything seemed to get well and the automobile seems to be updated.
